Mary Hafemen UF' 79 is Director of Golf at LPGA's International Golf Course in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Mary Hafeman

   At LPGA International, Mary Hafeman directs the golf play over two courses that were designed by Rees Jones and Arthur Hills.

   Hafeman is known in North Florida as the longtime pro at the now-closed Ponce de Leon in St. Augustine.  She also was an assistant pro under Nick Clark at San Jose.

   A Wisconsin native, Hafeman attended the University of Florida and is in that school’s Athletic Hall of Fame.  She’s also a member of the Wisconsin Sports Hall of Fame.

   She had a stellar amateur career, winning both the Western and Eastern Amateurs and played on the victorious Curtis Cup team in 1980.

   She is a member of both the LPGA and PGA, and has been named among the nation’s top 50 female teachers three times by Golf for Women magazine.
